Course Description (for SIS)

This class is a discussion-based seminar focused on the role and implications of digital technologies in a modern democracy (a.k.a Government 2.0).  Topics include the recent NSA scandals, basic web development, the architecture of the Internet, Online Privacy rights, hackers, data.gov, crowdsourced citizenship, etc.  This class DOES NOT require prior technical knowledge, however a basic understanding of the American Government is necessary.
