Biology 4050

Explores the processes of embryonic development in plants and animals, emphasizing the experimental basis of contemporary knowledge in embryogenesis, morphogenesis and in cell and tissue differentiation. Focus on current issues concerning stem cell biology, human developmental diseases and regenerative medicine. Lecture and occasional evening review discussions.  Prerequiresite:  BIOL 3010, co-enrollment in BIOL 3010, or equivalent experience (e.g. relevant lab work or course work).
