In the UVaCollab course site:   History of Psychology

Course Description (for SIS)

This course is designed to be an introduction to the history of psychology.  Because many of the issues currently debated in psychology were initially raised by philosophers centuries ago, the early portion of the course will trace the development of psychological ideas among philosophers from the early Greeks to the 19th century.  The second portion of the course will cover the emergence of psychology as a distinct discipline in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
