Course Description (for SIS)

Animal behavior is an integrative field that brings together evolutionary biology, ecology, neuroscience, and psychology. This course covers different theoretical frameworks for understanding animal behaviors and relating them to the environment, evolutionary history, and underlying neural and genetic mechanisms. We will use the primary literature to examine major developments and outstanding questions in the field and to compare methods of experimental design and analysis.
