Human Resource Management in Education (SIS version)

In this course, the management of human resources in schools, both public and private, is examined with particular attention to research-based practice, ethical considerations, interpersonal skills, and the building and maintenance of relationships. Theory and practice relative to the staffing of schools for effective realization of educational goals and objectives will be explored. Current challenges and other contextual factors influencing the optimization of human capital in public schools will be studied and students will be encouraged to apply the concepts to a critical analysis of practices in their own settings.
