This course provides students with conceptual, philosophical, and practical frameworks for supervision of instruction. It includes analysis of basic concepts involved in 21st-century supervision and provides the aspiring or practicing administrator with the tools needed to evaluate and improve instructional practice. Students will develop understanding and informed positions on issues related to teacher performance, professional and state standards, accountability systems and outcomes, and professional learning.
