Civil Engineering Design and Practice is designed to serve as a culminating, integrated design experience for students completing the civil engineering program.  Students work in multidisciplinary teams, and are guided by practicing civil engineers.

The semester project is designed to:

• Expose students to the design/construction process
• Provide the opportunity to apply practical civil engineering design methods
• Consider environmental and transportation concerns of civil engineering projects
• Illustrate professional practice and ethical issues associated with engineering projects
• Apply modern technology for document preparation and engineering graphics
