Course Description (for SIS)

Microeconomics looks at individual decision-making about how to use scarce resources to satisfy desires.  The main topics we will study include: supply and demand, markets, elasticity, market failure, government intervention, consumer behavior, production and cost analysis, market structure and competition, firm pricing decisions, game theory, and the market for resources.  The student will also get practice at applying microeconomic principles to real world phenomena.
