This class will have a research theme. Students will be exposed to researchers at various stages in their career, as well as a variety of research tools. In the first half of the semester the class will comprise a ~30 minute research talk, followed by a ~20 minute discussion focused more on the mechanics of starting and maintaining a research career. In the second half of the semester, we will switch to research tools, such as a DIY Python series, as well as grant/proposal writing.
