Chem 1811 is the first of a four-semester laboratory sequence for "accelerated" chemistry study.  The course has four goals: 

(1) To provide experimental support for the topics covered in the accompanying 1810 lecture,

(2) To provide experience with fundamental laboratory techniques,

(3) To teach students how to think and write scientifically, and 

(4) To illuminate the connections between what you learn in chemistry class and the real world.

Four laboratory hours plus weekly lecture. Prerequisite/corequisite: CHEM 1810, or CHEM 1410 with instructor recommendation.
