The objective of the course is to show the relevance of history to the study of civic leadership and public policy.  More specifically, this course is intended to enable students to:

• Understand how the context in which public policy has been made and implemented has changed over time
• Identity the drivers that have shaped that context in the past and those likely to shape its continued evolution in the future
