MAE4650 - Aircraft Design I

Aircraft Design I:

Starting with mission requirements, the conceptual design of an aircraft will be accomplished.  The design project is open-ended, unlike the more well-defined topics and problems that have been encountered in most engineering courses.  The design process will integrate the material that the students have been exposed in their aerospace curriculum, including aerodynamics, performance, propulsion, flight vehicle dynamics and materials and structures.  Students will be exposed to the experience of working in an engineering group, with particular emphasis on group dynamics and communication skills.
