Macroeconomics looks at the structure and performance of national economies.  The main topics we will study include: GDP, Unemployment, Inflation, The Stock Market, Interest Rates, Long-run Economic Growth, Business Cycles – Expansions, Recessions, and Depressions, Government Spending and Debt, The Federal Reserve and Monetary Policy, International Economies, Trade, and Foreign Exchange.  The student will get hands-on experience with real macroeconomic data and develop analytical view points on real world macroeconomic events and issues.
