Class Overview for SIS

This course introduces Agile Project Management as an iterative and incremental method of managing project design. It introduces concepts and activities designed for engineering, information technology, and new product or service development in a highly flexible and interactive manner. The course provides a thorough exposure to agile and explores differences between this mindset and more traditional project management techniques.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of:


• The agile mindset and how it is different;
• The Scrum Framework for agile product delivery;
• Typical roles on an agile team;
• Agile planning and iterative delivery;
• The key reports and agile retrospectives;
• Motivating a team and effective management;
