Authors will include Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville, Kate Chopin, William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, Flannery O’Connor, Joyce Carol Oates, Alice Walker, Amy Tan, and others. Students will also compose short creative exercises designed to lead toward writing a full-length short story.
