This Masters-level class deals with the literature, history, and culture of the Enlightenment and Romanticism in Spain (1700-1850).  The readings come from the MA Reading List (Feijoo, Cadalso, Isla, Iriarte, Meléndez Valdés, Jovellanos, Moratín, Rivas, Espronceda, Larra, Bécquer), supplemented with critical materials on reserve (Collab).  Research paper plus final exam (in the style of the MA Comprehensive Exams).
