RUSS 7010 introduces graduate students to contemporary methodologies used for research in the field of literary studies, focusing on Slavic contributions to theory and criticism. Among the broad, contextual questions that we will discuss are: What is literary research and what are its goals? What are the humanities and what place does the study of literature have in the humanities?
