King Tut, pyramids, mummies, & temples! In this class we will not only learn about the highlights of Ancient Egypt, but explore issues behind them, including Kingship, funerary practices, and urbanization. After an initial overview of chronology and places, a new topic will be explored each week, looking at archaeological evidence for the issues and change over time from late prehistory through the Greco-roman period, with a focus on early Egypt.
