The class will explore these questions: 1.  What is food? (as distinct from processed food? 2.  How healthy is the “Western diet” ?  3. How sustainable is modern Agribusiness?   4.  Is modern Agribusiness humane and fair?   5. Why is there an abundance of “food” yet persisting world hunger and food security for millions of Americans?  6.  How does modern Agribusiness fit in with the wider project of becoming a fairer, more sustainable society?
